Engaging With Graphics

Three stands in a row each hold large sheets of paper. An illustrator draws faces on the left sheet. The middle sheet has a sign “Engaging with Graphis” written on it. A facilitator stands in front of the right sheet talking into a microphone.

Workshop: Introduction to Engaging With Graphics

Duration: Four hours

Visual communication – conveying a message using images and symbols – is an effective way of helping people to engage, understand, and recall information.

Graphics attract attention, they don’t require reading, and their message is understood quickly and is more likely to be remembered – think of road signs or the stylised apple used as a computer logo, for example.

Many people gave up drawing at primary school and believe they can no longer draw. Wrong! We’ll give you the tools and confidence to draw simple pictures and graphics to illustrate your messages. And it’s fun!

This hands-on workshop can be delivered to community organisations or corporates in our Hamilton office, or at a venue of your choice in New Zealand. No previous experience is necessary.
